Lydia Night
Lydia Night is the quintessential Los Angeles girl next door. Darling, pop star hopeful, bubbly, and gorgeous. Born in Louisiana, raised on stages across America, but is most at home squeezed between friends in a red vinyl booth at Swingers Diner. A Lydia Night Milkshake on the order ticket. The road to her solo pop album has been a long one. She’s left behind the bubblegum garage rock of her previous projects and most importantly, her adolescence. Her debut album is set to release this summer.
Our conversations about music and art started when we were in high school in downtown Los Angeles. She has been in our lives as long as this magazine. We have been lucky to watch, with affection, as she tries to tell us what she means about writing songs, debilitating crushes, navigating record deals, heartbreak, and the volatile uncertainty of growing up. On the precipice of pop stardom, Lydia is reintroducing herself to the world as the solo artist she always knew she could be. We can’t wait to see what happens next. No Regrettes.
