What’s CHUCK?

Chuck Magazine is a biannual arts publication and cultural touchstone for audiences in contemporary Los Angeles and beyond. Founded in 2018 by Achilleas Ambatzidis and Finley Jacobsen, Chuck’s priority has always been platforming conversations on why we create. Chuck’s larger goal is making exciting, world-building arts journalism from Los Angeles, for everyone.

Chuck Magazine has quickly become a vital part of the Los Angeles creative landscape, but its reach and influence stretch far beyond the city. The co-founders have created a platform that champions a new outlook on the necessary practice of journalism. This creativity above all mentality has positioned Chuck as an exciting voice in the current cultural cacophony. Whether through exclusive collaborations or multidimensional storytelling, Chuck is redefining what a legacy magazine can be.

  • In the print program, Chuck’s primary focus is interviewing and platforming artists of all kinds, designing physical objects and related experiences that bring Chuck contributors, consumers and friends closer together in the pursuit of art and connection. Those who consume Chuck content have access to a highly curated and accessible world of art, ideas, and experiences. Through consuming Chuck content, they are opening themselves up to the world CM is forming for them, of art, truth, and creative expression in all of its forms.
